We took the Citybus tour (again, as in 1995) from the Admiralty MTR Station. The bus left at 9:30am and we were at Ocean Park by 9:50am, a few minutes earlier than opening time of 10am. We met our friends there, Joji and Sands, with their 5-year old son, Paulo, so both kids had a fun-ner time than if they only had us grown-ups around.

The features we enjoyed (some a second or a third time, now) were:

The Aviary - lots of colorful and different-looking birds; we also liked the Flamingo Pond

Ocean Theater - had to go up the super-long escalator to get here. We watched a 30-minute show featuring seals and dolphins

Shark Aquarium - our favorites were the graceful and peaceful stingray, as well as the swordfish

Atoll Reef - lots of interesting fish though the place seems smaller now or are we all just getting tired and older?

Pacific Pier - you can watch seals here and even have feeding and photo opportunities

Cable Car and Ocean Park Tower

The Giant Panda Habitat -where we saw pandas for the very first time

Butterfly House - plenty of winged friends though not too much variety in kind

Whiskers Theater - watched some seals do the ring toss, dance, brush their teeth; pretty interesting tricks

On top of all these, Paulo and Adi enjoyed the Merry Go Round and the Train Ride. The kids had so much fun it looks like we'll have to return to Ocean Park again another time.
