If you're using Cpanel, you can configure your default email address as :blackhole: which means that any email sent to an undefined address will not be bounced back. If you try sending email to a non-existing address, you'll usually get a "Recipient Not Recognized" error. But if email black holes are in effect, you won't get an error message. Will comment spam kill blogs? Some web hosts are thinking of disabling certain Movabletype scripts, because comment spammers keep hitting those scripts. Increased hits means the web host's resources are consumed at a faster rate, and this affects other web sites hosted on the same server. [more]
