Samsung Galaxy Tab and Android Apps

We've been trying out the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus, and have come up with a list of favorite Android Apps you can use for your office work.

First of all, just tap on your Android Market icon, then do a search for the following:

Astrid To Do - This is a great app that will help you remember all those tasks that you need to do. Then, once you've completed each task, simply tap it and a line will strike through it, along with the date and time.

This means you'll be able to keep track of when you achieved tasks or completed projects, so come Performance Evaluation time you'll be able to easily remember what you've done for the past few months.

SpringPad - Use this to keep notes in multimedia format. So if you're trying to learn a new language, easily record the audio using the built-in mic of your Samsung Galaxy Tab and associate it with the text-based notes.

Google Translate - Do you communicate with different people in Asia? This is a fun way to easily get your message across. For some languages, it even comes with an audio recording of the translation.

Polaris Office - Helps you open and edit MS Office documents.

GMail - Notifies you when an important email comes in, which means you can say goodbye to constantly checking your Inbox. There are strategies, however, that protect you from getting distracted. Those "focus on the most important things only" tactic will be shared in another blog post.

Pulse News - Handy if you need to be updated about the latest news in your industry. It's easy to catch up on your reading when you're waiting for a meeting to start.

Plume - Keep track of real-time developments in Twitter. What you can do is set-up a separate Twitter account, then use that account to follow only a handful of news-related Twitter accounts.
