Zip Files and 7Zip

Are you having problems opening zip files? Try 7Zip.

I've tried so many different programs to unzip those compressed files, and they have worked flawlessly.

Recently, however, I was given a zip file which contained so many folders and sub-folders. Then, inside these sub-sub-sub folders are Excel spreadsheets with long names.

When I tried to open the spreadsheet, there was an error message about the file not being found.

Apparently, the unzipping program was having a hard time handling files with long filenames, or files which were saved in such deep sub-folders.

Well, 7Zip to the rescue!

When I downloaded and installed the .msi 7zip installation file for 32-bit Windows (am using Windows 7), I was finally able to successfully open those formely missing spreadsheet files.
