Tagalog Romance Novels

If you're interested in Tagalog love stories, or even romance pocketbooks, you'll be happy to know that there's lots to find online.

For example, if you're a fan of Precious Hearts Romances you can check out their site at PHR.com.ph and if you're into Tagalog pocketbooks online, there's TagalogOnlinePocketbook.com

These handy 96 to 128 page pocketbooks thrill many people searching for love stories. Some folks I know are able to read one from cover to cover in just one afternoon. One favorite is Naulit Na Kahapon (Yesterday Once More) written by Roselyn L. Mendoza and edited by Susana G. Espeña (author of bestseller Babae sa Gulod [Woman in the Hills]).

That romance book is released as part of the Love and Romance Stories series of S.G.E. Printers:

Hiyas Homes Subdivision
Pearl Cor. Sapphire Sts.
Bo. Parada, Valenzuela, Metro Manila
Tel. +63.2 292 0304, 292-0372, 292-3832
Fax. +63.2 292-0329
Mobile: +63.912 311 0075

Among their other series are: Flame, Young Heart, Pag-Ibig at Kababalaghan (Love and Mystery), and Love and Romance Special.

Another popular Tagalog romance novels publisher is the Bookware Publishing Corporation:

3rd Floor, MS Building
146 Shaw Blvd, Pasig City 1600 PH
Tel. +63.2 631-8894 or 631-7811
Website: http://www.bookwarepublishing.com

Readers love their easy-to-read pocket books (My Special Valentine series) because the stories make them feel kilig, or touch their hearts and bring tears to their eyes, or give them hope with tales of true love.

They also have an online store at TagalogRomancePocketbook.com (international distributor), although I wish they had some kind of an "About Us" page. You know, to help boost consumer confidence.

Another favorite Pinoy romance pocket book series is Precious Hearts Romances (PHR), which is published by Precious Pages Corp:

83 Sgt. E. Rivera St., SFDM
1115 Quezon City, Philippines
Tel. +63.2 367-6237, 367-6222
Website: http://www.PHR.com.ph

What do I foresee in the coming months? I expect an increased level of interest in Tagalog love stories and romance pocketbooks, both in print and electronic or ebook format. And I look forward to the Tagalog romance writers' (TIP: create your author blogs now, if still haven't) ability to meet demand both here and abroad, thanks to the power of the internet.
