HappySlip In ManilaChristine Gambito, popularly known as HappySlip, arrived in Manila yesterday afternoon. (Oops, it was Thursday morning.) [an error occurred while processing this directive]And naturally, before even unpacking her bags in a hotel in Manila, she uploads a video of her first day in Manila. (Whoa... 500 comments... and rising!) You'll see a different side of HappySlip. Still happy, yet more emotional. Things about family, coming home, missing home, parents... When she made a video before about coming home, I thought she was referring to a trip to the Philippines. Who would've thought back then that today would become a reality? I hope that Christine's upcoming videos will inspire more Filipinos to visit more places in the Philippines. (Thanks to Abe Olandres' Happy Slip Is In Teh House, I found out that Anton Diaz of Our Awesome Planet is asking if you're interested in a Kung Hei Fat Choi get-together with HappySlip...) UPDATE: There's a blogger meet-and-greet with HappySlip on Thursday, Feb 7, from 11am to 3pm, at Mag:net Cafe, Bonifacio High Street. If you're interested, please register. This is most likely the Official Yehey! HappySlip Meet 'n Greet announcement. I wonder if this is separate from the event that Anton blogged about. Feb 2, 2008: Do you want to easily brush up on the videos of HappySlip? Check out Renzie Baluyut's HappySlip Videography Series. Just like Renzie, a lot of my friends are not yet that familiar with Christine Gambito. Feb 1, 2008: Coy watches HappySlip Dance in Wowowee, plus additional entertainment courtesy of the overheard remarks of Coy's lola. :-) Meanwhile, Christine Gambito gives an update on the Manila Meet and Greet. :-) Jan 31, 2008: HappySlip blogs about the Feb 7 Manila Meet and Greet, and the comment section fills up with not-that-happy sentiments. Jan 29, 2008: Remember the video I mentioned earlier? The one with the song about coming home? Here's HappySlip's video in the Bohol Bee Farm and also at Alegre Guitars in Cebu: Peppermint and Josh Verdes. In the second segment of the video, you'll catch a snippet of Josh playing a slightly modified version of "Home" on a P20,000 guitar. Jan 28, 2008: Coy Meets HappySlip! Jan 26, 2008: HappySlip gives a sneak peek of her Loboc River Cruise in Bohol. I wonder if Mang Medik performed the "Bohol Welcome Song" for her:
