For all you know, someone inserted a filter command that autoforwards your GMail messages which contain the word "password", for example, to an external email address. How did that filter command get inserted? Well, if you have the habit of keeping your GMail account open while surfing the web, you might have unwittingly visited a webpage that exploits the (now closed) GMail security issue. Please check your GMail filter settings and see if any messages are being autoforwarded.
