Sleep Deprivation SolutionThe internet has created an army of people suffering from sleep deprivation. [an error occurred while processing this directive]Blogs, email, and even cellphone-powered microblogging (thanks to Twitter) have spawned a community of people who lack sleep. And since we know that not getting enough sleep is quite unhealthy, here are tips to solve your insomnia: 1. Have a lights-out or "No Computer" policy at... 10PM. Yes, it is hard to resist the urge to view one more photo, open just one more email, surf over to just one more web page. Anyway, try it. Shut your computer down at 10PM. 2. Make your room as dark as possible. If you live in the city, you'll notice that the nightsky never truly becomes dark. You have lit billboards, streetlights, or even your neighbor's light (because they're using the computer?). All these lightbeams have a way of entering your bedroom and disrupting your sleep. Since we're not all call center agents, we don't need to bathe our bodies in unnatural light at night. Use heavy drapes to keep the light out. 3. Avoid watching television beyond 10PM. Just because you've left your computer doesn't mean you need to switch the TV on. By also limiting your viewing time, you'll help your mind relax. It's easier to fall asleep when no images of the last show you watched flash before your shut eyes. So here's to a healthier lifestyle. You can still enjoy the internet, but let's do things in moderation. DOH it na! :-) Panuorin Mo Ito...
