Resurrecting Podcasts

Podfading is what happens when people start podcasts and are later unable to continue adding episodes.

Fortunately, neglected podcasts can still be resurrected.

For example, Juned Sonido (RadioCubao.com) is relaunching his podcast. He has discovered places which offer public domain material, and will most likely incorporate these in his future shows.

Jeric Peņa is also launching his BrinkNotes Podcast (www.BrinkNotes.org/podcast), and it is interesting to see how this Filipino teen is using internet marketing and Web 2.0 to get the word out.

How did I easily incorporate the above video in this blog post? Jeric gives easy copy/paste instructions in his post BNCast needs listeners.

So, if you hesitate to start a podcast (because you're worried about podfading), or if you have a podcast that hasn't been updated in ages, please remember that you can resurrect your show anytime.

With people subscribing to your RSS feed, they can just continue where they left off. Afterall, people will not automatically unsub from your feed.

By the way, Happy Easter! :-)
