Wordpress Podcast Player

If you have a podcast and you use Wordpress, check out the Audio Player Wordpress plugin.

From 1PixelOut.net comes the Audio Player Wordpress Plugin which automatically displays a Flash player at the bottom of your posts.

Each time you mention an mp3 file in your post, a player automatically appears.

This is convenient because your listeners can click on the audio player and hear your audio file, without leaving the page. This allows them to read your show notes while your podcast episode plays in the background.

Before, I simply provided a download link. When people click on that, they are brought to a blank webpage which contains nothing but a Quicktime player. It's just a white page with no other text... and with no show notes.

So, if you're into podcasting and would like your listeners to read your show notes while they're listening to your podcast, try the Audio Player Wordpress plugin.

(I simply installed it and the player automatically appeared in the more than 30 episodes of the Viloria.com Pinoy Podcast.)

For those wondering... I do not create my podcasts in a recording studio. Either I record late at night, or inside the car. It helps me keep the episodes to under 5 minutes. :-)
