Who else wants a million visitors for their web site?

Here are the core strategies of attracting a million visitors to your web site or your blog:

1. Attract the Traffic

You can develop a blog or site by writing and posting useful articles. These articles are found by search engines, other bloggers, or even friends and relatives. People then find you via Google or Yahoo, through blog comments or online forum signatures, or even through word of mouth and mouse.

Sometimes, this strategy works within four months. In other cases, it may take at least a year.

2. Buy the Traffic

You can buy ads and place these in sites that already have high traffic. For example, you can purchase Google Adwords and have a link to your site appear in the search engine results. You can also buy banner ads in news sites or other popular destinations in the web.

This strategy can work if you have the budget for it.

3. Borrow the Traffic

You can partner with other bloggers covering topics related to yours, and cooperatively engage in link exchange programs. You can also write articles and allow others to reprint them, so that their visitors will see your site's link in the article's "About The Writer" resource box.
