If you want to maximize the initial free monthly text allocation of your Sun Cellular simcard, the first thing you should do is call 221 (cellphone load balance inquiry).

Eventually, the simcard gets "activated" but when you do a balance inquiry by calling 221, you discover that you have far fewer free texts.

Hello, Customer Service? How come I have only a few free texts, when I only sent out one test text message?

Sir, you should've called 221 first.

(According to the Sun Cellular Hotline Customer Service people, please call 221 first when you get a brand new simcard. Happy texting, folks!)
