At the birthday party we attended yesterday, we were lucky to catch the performance of Yoyo Master, Glenn Angeles. As I understand it, a Yoyo Master is someone who works the yoyo very well and who competes in various international competitions.

We went around trick or treating around the place where we live -- as usual, the kids enjoyed and are happy while we, the parents are tired. We told the kids that we would only go around for one hour and that was enough to fill up their pumpkin containers.

We chanced upon their bags at a Trade Fair in Megamall. They looked interesting and different and we were told that they were made of leather and "bariw" -- a kind of plant or crop (much like the pandan, if I remember correctly). We bought a few to give away to relatives living abroad.

I was surfing to get some gift ideas for Christmas for tweens (those who are aged 8 to 12, no longer small kids but not quite teens either), and came across this interesting 3D Puzzle called Esphera. The Esphera 3D puzzle has puzzle pieces which are curved or have slightly rounded edges and when you put them together properly, they fit together to make a sphere.
