If you have visited Kusina Salud (you may search our archives for our previous write-up or entry about that), you most likely caught sight of a store right up front called Pillar Plants and Novelties. If you check out that shop, you'll find various trinkets, old books like Asterix (for only P50 each), Rizaliana (for P60 each), and broas (ladyfinger cookies) from Quezon which sell for P180 a can.

Finally, I got to try Cafe Juanita, located on 2 United St. West Capitol Drive, Kapitolyo, Pasig City. The restaurant, owned by Dr. Boy Vazquez is on Philippine Tattler's list of Best Restaurants in 2005.

Nope, I haven't been anywhere near New Zealand (how I wish I have!), I just happen to have a friend who's now working there. Every now and then, he sends us mail about his adventures over there -- just like that Lord of the Rings Exhibit thing.

Does anybody know which ad agency came up with the SMART Unli30 (is that how they call it?) ad -- the one which promotes unlimited texting for P30? I don't know what went behind the creation of that ad, but personally, I don't like it.

We caught the movie Superman Returns last weekend. If you haven't watched it yet, watch out for that part in the movie where they talk about where Superman has been seen. Superman was in Manila! I wonder if they change that part, depending on where the movie is showing. Would anyone know?
