Shucks! FPJ won't join any debate. And if FPJ won't join, PGMA won't too. And if PGMA won't join, Lacson wants out. That leaves us with Roco and Brother Eddie. Doesn't sound too exciting. [more]

The handlers (and I do mean handlers) of FPJ must really believe in the saying: "Less talk, less mistakes. No talk, no mistake." [more]

Had Edsa 1 been a person, yesterday would have marked her debut or coming-out party. 18 years. Edsa is no longer a playful or carefree child. It is likewise no longer a curious, ambivalent, or wild teener. Yesterday, marked Edsa's entry into adulthood and it is time to buckle down to work. [more]

Web visitor Amor Charmaigne writes to give tips on where to eat and stay in Malaybalay. She now works and lives in Cagayan de Oro but is originally from Malaybalay. So the place is Bukid-known ;-) to her. To Amor Charmaigne, thanks for visiting and writing and I will surely try out the places you mentioned if I am lucky enough to get back to Malaybalay. [more]

Family, work, car, health - 101 concerns. Things can get pretty stressful from time to time. Here's a short prayer I picked up from my readings that may help put things in proper perspective: [more]

Are you familiar with Estrella's or Estrel's Caramel Cakes? I am. I remember that on several birthdays, as a child (or even as a teener), my mom would order those nice-tasting, not-too-sweet caramel cakes. The icing is neither thick nor thin, very smooth, and light brown in color. [more]

I rode a "radio booth" the other day and thoroughly enjoyed myself. What, that was a taxi cab? Well, the driver did sound like a commentator on AM radio and am thankful to him for entertaining me and my officemate for the duration of our taxi ride. The conversation innocently started with some discussion about campaign posters - I forget now who started to talk, whether it was the driver or my officemate - and the rest, is political history in the making. For those who do not understand Tagalog or Filipino, read no further. If I translate the following lines, much of the humor will be lost. So Pinoys everywhere, enjoy... [more]

Recently, I have been a magnet for car bumps and accidents. Nothing major to hurt me or any of my passengers, but irritating enough to add little scratches, not so little dents, here and there on the right side of my car, mostly. Just this morning, someone bumped me from behind while I had been at a full stop for quite some time. [more]

When elections start, most people say that the biggest circus is in town. I hesitate to say "circus" though since "circuses" aren't too common here in the Philippines. If ever, they are mostly imported from abroad. [more]

Attended one of the most-organized and happiest weddings I have seen last Saturday, February 7. My nephew (son of a much older cousin) got married and the entire ceremony and reception was a joy to attend and witness. [more]

Poor Jessica Soho. Not even all of her interviewing skills could have helped her with yesterday's subject on Bio-Data. Sure, FPJ was featured -- but only all of 8 minutes of a one-hour show. The rest of the time was spent painfully trying to fill up that one hour with film or video clips, interviews with FPJ employees, etc. [more]

What a day! I started out on the wrong foot (couldn't find something I really needed) so was already in a bad mood this morning. [more]
