A Gift of Thanksgiving

This year, Thanksgiving will fall on November 27, 2008. Thanksgiving is celebrated in the United States but not too much here in the Philippines.

Then again, we really need to celebrate thanksgiving each and every day. As I have aged, I have realized that being alive is reason enough to be thankful. And we are still alive because there is still something that we must carry out.

I launched my very first published book, Mom's A Stewardess (Or Why There is No Vacation from Your Vocation) -- Stories of Stewardship on July 9, 2008. That book, in itself, is an exercise in thanksgiving for me. I thank the Lord for all my skills and talents. I thank Him for all that has taken place in my life. I thank all the people whom I have met throughout my 41 years.

I thank all our viloria readers for reading this website regularly and all web visitors who stumble upon this site in search of some information that they may need.

As for the book, I thank all individuals who have bought a copy and who have given away copies to their friends and relatives. I still have a few copies left and there are a few copies in the bookstores (National BookStore, Powerbooks, BestSellers) but I strongly suggest that if you would like to get copies for Christmas gifts or just to give away to your family members, officemates, employees, students, churchmates, etc. or to people whom you would like to thank, please reserve your copy or copies with your favorite bookstore branch even if it may be out of stock with them at the moment. Any day is a good time to say thank you. Let Mom's A Stewardess help you say thank you.

Despite the gloom and doom brought about by the global financial crisis, let us have an attitude of gratitude. For truly, there is much to be thankful for. Just open your eyes and see.
