US Trip 2008

In June 2008, my niece got married in Utah. The wedding provided my family (my brothers and my parents) the chance to get together.

June marks the start of classes here in the Philippines so the kids could not come along. And since the kids couldn't come along, husband Manuel had to stay behind too. Well, there were work-related matters too so it was just me then on this quick US trip.

In the coming days, I will be sharing with you the highlights of that short "vacation" which allowed me to be sort of like a "kid" again. Since I got married in 1995, I have never gone on a trip again with my parents. I go on a trip yearly but it is always with my husband and kids. Being a mother responsible for two children, trips have become synonymous with chores and things that I had to do for my kids. You are never really relaxed or totally by yourself.

This trip was some sort of breather for me then. After 12 years of being "mom," it was time to be a child and sister again. So do drop by viloria in the coming days and join me as I take you on a journey home during my trip away from home. =)
