Travel Books for a Cause: September 22, 2007 at the Museo PambataPreviously, I wrote about my Poveda batchmate's Sana Sta. Ana's new product called Passport, a travel journal cum scrapbook/photo album. This will be launched on September 22, 2007, at 3pm at the Museo Pambata on Roxas Boulevard, Manila City, Philippines, in an event dubbed: Travel Books for a Cause. [an error occurred while processing this directive]Three ladies, including Sana, will be presenting their respective travel books/products. Nina Lim-Yuson, will present Nina's Travel Sketches. Nina's Travel Sketches presents images of places, food, and beautiful scenes from the Philippines and around the world as captured by Nina's pen and as seen through her eyes. Nikki Dy-Liacco is the writer behind Yellow Paperclip with Bright Purple Spots which won the 2005 PBBY-Salanga Grand Prize and the 2006 National Book Award for Children's Literature by the Manila Critics' Circle. The book is about a paperclip that goes around the world. Then, of course, there's Sana's Passport. All three ladies are volunteers for an international non-governmental organization called All Together in Dignity (ATD) Fourth World Philippines, which supports families living in poverty. During the Travel Books for a Cause launch, sales proceeds will go to ATD. Special prizes also await buyers on this day. So, if you are free on that day, do check out these three ladies' products and event. You will be able to purchase unique products and contribute to a good cause at the same time. Now, who wouldn't want to travel down that road? I would have wanted to be there too personally but I do have to attend to another event at our parish. Anyway, I'll get hold of these products at a future time. =) [By Angelica Viloria | Monday, September 17, 2007] [an error occurred while processing this directive] Copyright © 2001-2012 by Angelica Bautista Viloria.
