Back to Manila, Back to Reality

Sorry for that long silence there. We were off on our annual Viloria family vacation and this year, now that am not office-bound, we decided to take a trip to the US.

We only did Los Angeles and San Francisco and were out for 18 days. You may think that 18 days may be quite short for a US trip but duty calls. Besides, with 2 kids in tow, I don't think my husband and I would have had enough energy to watch over them for more than 18 days. =)

It is good to be back home and back to the blogs. I apologize to all those who have e-mailed, left comments here and in my other blogs. Please give me a few days to get back to my routine. I am typically prompt when it comes to responding to your comments and queries but when am on vacation, it's really a vacation. Thankfully, I only take off once a year and most of the time, it's only for about 4 days. Prior to this US trip, our longest break was the Australia trip in 2000 when we were gone for 10 days.

Please stay tuned for our stories on the US trip in the next few days. It was truly a time to bond with family. It's funny that we went on the same trip but if you ask the different members of my family what they enjoyed the most, you'd get different answers: Ali liked the parade in Disneyland; Adi enjoyed Discovery Kingdom; Daddy Manuel's favorite is the Exploratorium while I liked Roaring Camp at Felton the most.

All my bags are now unpacked and am now ready to blog again. Travel is really a great activity. We learn new things, not only about the places we see or the people we meet but more importantly, we discover new things about ourselves.

So please drop by viloria in the coming days to read about what we did, felt, or learned while we were away. Have a great week everyone!
