Take The Twenty-One Day ChallengeAre you a normal human being who experiences stress and anxiety every now and then? You may want to take the Twenty-One Day Challenge cited in the book Discovering God's Will For Your Life by Ray Pritchard. [an error occurred while processing this directive]In his very helpful book, Pastor Ray Pritchard shared this prayer which a friend of his heard from a noted Christian leader. This prayer had helped his friend become more calm and relaxed and had made a drastic difference in his life. Wouldn't you want to try out this prayer for the next twenty-one days and see how it will affect you? I have gotten permission from Pastor Ray Pritchard to share this prayer with our web readers (more on this story later). Here is the prayer: "Heavenly Father, you are in charge of everything that will happen to me today -- whether it be good or bad, positive or negative. Please make me thankful for everything that happens to me today. Amen." It's a short prayer that we can all pray daily. With it, we can remind ourselves that in all circumstances, we should give thanks to the Lord because He knows what is best for us. He can see down the road or around the corner when we can't. As the Bible says, "Rejoice in the Lord always." As for the other story, when I left my last job in a rating agency after 14 years, my officemate gave me the book Discovering God's Will For Your Life. Six months after I decided to take a break, I am still in the process of "discovering God's will" -- but more patiently and yes, happily. In my other site, www.alltheblessings.com, I wrote a review about the book hoping that more people will get to read it and be inspired by it. Imagine my surprise when Pastor Ray Pritchard left a comment for that blog entry! It's not every day that I get a comment from the writer of a book truly worth reading so I am really grateful to Pastor Ray Pritchard for taking the time to post a comment and reply to my subsequent e-mails. He has also been very gracious to allow me to share some portions of the book with you so more people may be touched and reached by the prayer. Do get a copy of the book for yourself or for someone you know who may be facing a difficult situation. I am sure that God will touch them through this book. If you wish to read what I wrote about the book, here is my brief review.
