Musical Lenten Recollection

Are you looking for a meaningful way to observe the Lenten Season? Christ the King Parish located at Greenmeadows Avenue in Quezon City will be having a Musical Lenten Recollection on Christ's Passion and Death, His Resurrection, and His Sorrowful Mother.

The recollection will feature meditations by Msgr. Daniel Sta. Maria, Fr. Manoling Francisco, and Bishop Raul Martirez and various choirs conducted by Fr. Manoling Francisco.

The Musical Lenten Recollection will be held on Friday, March 16, 2007, at 7:30pm at the Main Church of Christ the King. The recollection is free but donations will be accepted for the benefit of our countrymen in Bicol who continue to suffer given the aftermath of typhoon Reming. You may call the parish office at 633-0280 or drop by the parish office to give your donations.

You may donate any of the following amounts or any amount that you wish to offer:

P500 for school things and school supplies for 1 student

P1,000 for the Food for Work Project. Each family is given 1 sack of rice for every 10-meter long road finished by a volunteer family.

P2,000 for seedlings, farming, and fishing materials

P3,000 for one piglet and food supplements for hog raising

P4,000 for a day's worth of food for 30 families.

P5,000 for the repair of one house

P10,000 for cookware, beds, and other household necessities

P15,000 for rehabilitation of a barangay chapel

P60,000 for 1 Gawad Kalinga house

All checks must be made payable to Christ the King Parish, Greenmeadows. Please be generous. If you are based in the Philippines, please attend the recollection, donate, and make this Lenten season more meaningful by doing good to your fellowmen. If you are based outside the Philippines and would still like to contribute or donate, please call the parish office and inquire on how you can give your donations. I am sure they have a bank account that you can make a deposit to.
