Children's Art Exhibit of HopeWe all dream of a better world for our children. We all dream of a society where no one is poor. [an error occurred while processing this directive]Maybe, our children will accomplish this objective for us. From October 14-22, 2006, you and your family may want to catch the Children's Art Exhibit of Hope billed: "Listen to Us and We'll Change the World Together." This will be at the Museo Pambata on Roxas Boulevard corner South Drive, Manila, Philippines. You can reach them at 5231797 to 98. The art exhibit features life-sized fabric silhouettes created by children living in poverty. There will also be messages of hopes and dreams of a better world. The silhouettes come from Manila, Bangkok, and several European cities. The exhibit is being mounted in observance of World Day for Overcoming Extreme Poverty (October 17, 2006). The formal opening of the exhibit is on October 14, 2006, Saturday. On that same day, there will be story-telling and games for kids who will visit from 10:30am to 12noon. There will be an art workshop at 3:30pm on October 14 and 15 and this will be handled by Robert Alejandro. During the workshop, your kids can create their own miniature silhouettes and write their own message of hope. For more details and to register for the activities, you may get in touch with Museo Pambata or All Together in Dignity (ATD) Fourth World Philippines, the NGO responsible for putting the exhibit together. You may reach ATD in Manila at 5639312. Schools who may also be interested to bring the exhibit to their schools/students, can likewise inquire from or call ATD.
