Manila International Book Fair 2006Tomorrow, we will be off to the Manila International Book Fair which will run from August 30 to September 3 of this year. The event will be held at the World Trade Center on Roxas Boulevard and Gil Puyat Ave., in Manila. [an error occurred while processing this directive]The Fair opens at 10am and ends at 8pm. If you want to avoid the rush of people, it would be good to be there about 30 minutes before it opens. Last year, we were there at about 10am. The lines to buy the tickets were long (but moving) but when we exited, the lobby was already too crowded. Not good then to come in the middle of the day. Bring lots of cash (or even your credit cards -- if you're wary about bringing cash). Most of the big book publishers and distributors will be there and some prices will be discounted. This may already be a good way to start your Christmas shopping as we are already in the "ber" months. There are also various activities and talks scheduled so this is sure to be one interesting event. See you at the bookfair. Make reading a habit in your homes today. =) [By Angelica Viloria | Friday, September 1, 2006] [an error occurred while processing this directive]Copyright © 2001-2012 by Angelica Bautista Viloria.
