Christmas Gifts: Philippine Music CDs

Are you searching for unique Christmas gifts to give away to your balikbayan friends or relatives? The recipients do not actually need to be from far away -- just think of anyone who would appreciate good Philippine music.

Ms. Melanie Dujunco writes again to promote the "Paskong Pilipino CD." This is an instrumental CD containing well-loved Philippine Christmas songs done in flute and guitar. The CD features Mr. Ray Sison as flutist and Mr. Ray Valdellon as guitarist. The CD is reasonably priced. I personally bought this CD last year (CD unheard) but I should say after listening to it that it is really a good buy. I gave the CDs away as gifts too last year and am sure it helped the recipients get into the Pinoy Christmas spirit better.

Aside from that CD, Melanie is also offering an instrumental CD of the U.P. Guitar Ensemble, this time featuring Original Pilipino Classics. The CD has 17 songs and some of the cuts included are: Ugoy ng Duyan, Kalesa, Kataka-taka. Price is very reasonable too.
