Maligayang Pasko! Off for a Christmas BreakWe will be on Christmas break from tomorrow, December 24 till December 27. Hopefully, we will be back on the net December 28. It has been another exciting year. 2004 felt like it had more deaths and tragedies compared to past years, but December 25 continues to give us hope as we rejoice in the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ. [an error occurred while processing this directive]So, even as some people tell me that they can hardly feel the Christmas spirit given that life is more difficult and money more scarce, we reflect on the true meaning of the season. The very first Christmas was not easy. It was about God bringing His Son into this world to save us. It is about sacrifice. It is about giving. In a world (or country) where there is less to be joyful about, maybe it is to force us to focus on that which will give us everlasting and true joy: peace and faith as we rest easy in a God whose plans we may not always understand or accept but whom we are sure, always looks out for our good. Maligayang Pasko sa inyong lahat. Let us be thankful for the gift of faith, life, and even the difficulties that come our way. We are exactly where God wants us to be. Happy birthday, baby Jesus!
