Back to Reality

We're back! It was a good break from October 31-November 3. We were at Plantation Bay in Cebu. We enjoyed ourselves immensely and should get around to sharing our experience with you - as soon as I will myself to start writing.

The resort was fuller than I expected. It was heartening to see that tourism was still alive and well, after all. There were lots of Koreans, Japanese, and a few Europeans. Some Pinoys were there too. Some tourists though still thought Manuel and I were Koreans or Japanese.

At the airport, it was good to see that most of the resorts had guests to pick up. Shangri-la Mactan, Alegre, Maribago, Tambuli - they were all there. Seems like a positive start since 2003 has been designated as Visit the Philippines year. Good for us. I hope the trend continues. If it does then we can really agree with Dick Gordon when he says: Wow Philippines!
