Adi's Honework: Tales of the Unexpected

Nope, that ain't a typo up there. I really did mean "honework." Don't we send our kids to school to hone their skills? And also to keep them away from that dreaded TV...

Adi and I were doing his homework last night. The lesson was about the letters B, P, and M. One of the activities was for Adi to write down the first letter of the word as illustrated by a picture.

One of the pictures was that of a "boy," or so I thought. I expected Adi to immediately say, "B" for boy. He had other things in mind though. He started off by saying: "person." (That would be a P.). I said that's correct but what else? He then said: "man?" I was starting to smile as I realized that my son was more creative than I thought. Then he finally said: "boy." So, we ended up writing "B" on the space but I was truly amazed that he used all three letters for words which were equally appropriate for the picture.

That's what I like about kids. They don't think the same way as adults...
