WaitingChristmas has a certain characteristic which can be a bit frustrating for kids. This is the waiting part. I realized this just this year, as I watched my son and my nephews and nieces go about opening their presents. [an error occurred while processing this directive]"Wait until Christmas Eve." That's something kids usually hear when they ask their parents if they can open their gifts now temptingly located under the Christmas tree. "It's not yet 12 o'clock." That's what they hear come Christmas Eve. Finally, comes midnight and they can open their gifts to their hearts' delight. After opening all the gifts though, they can't play since it's finally time to go to bed. By the time we were done eating and unwrapping the gifts, it was already 2am. So, my son had to wait (again) till tomorrow. Oh well, patience is a trait they'll find useful once their adults. As they say, good things come to those who wait. So, waiting shouldn't be so terrible. [By Angelica Viloria | Thursday, December 27, 2001] [an error occurred while processing this directive]Copyright © 2001-2012 by Angelica Bautista Viloria.
