There Goes the Diet

"Why are you so fat?" My 5-year old niece asked me directly and bluntly last Sunday. My son quickly came to my rescue by saying: "My mommy's pregnant."

December is not a good time to be pregnant, particularly when you want to control your weight gain. With all the parties and food gifts we receive, your weighing scale is bound to go bonkers, same with my OB who's quite strict with the number of pounds I gain from month to month.

Oh well, I can always try very hard to lose the added pounds after. In the meantime, eat, drink and be merry. It's Christmas time.
