Farewell, Dos PalmasThis was the place our family meant to visit but never got around to doing just that. We had meant to go in 2002 but then the Abu Sayyaf incident happened. September 11 likewise came and tourism, world-wide, has since taken a dive. [an error occurred while processing this directive]Oh well, maybe it wasn't meant. News hit the papers today and yesterday that Dos Palmas resort in Palawan has closed shop. Who knows? Maybe they'll re-open in time, under new owners, new management, and a new name which isn't associated yet with tragedy. Till then, it's off to other places first in the meantime.
