The Susie-SoundWhen I was pregnant with my first kid, Adi, my husband and I chose not to find out the sex of our baby. We wanted it to be a surprise. [an error occurred while processing this directive]With our second kid, though, we'll try a different tack. We want to find out this time. That way, we can already address or call our kid by his/her name. If it's a boy, I guess we won't have to buy a lot of clothes since he can use some of Adi's. If it's a girl though, I don't think Adi's things look too feminine. I saw my OB this morning and as usual, she listened to the baby's heartbeat. Her assistant, Susie, was with her, as always (as she also was during my first pregnancy), and while listening to the heartbeat, Susie made a comment that the beat sounded very much like my first kid's. She thinks it will be a boy. My doctor says Susie's batting average is quite high so we'll know in a few months just how accurate she is. After some time though, the heart beat became faster and my doctor asked Susie: Do you still think it's a boy? Anyway, boy or girl, February 2002 will bring us one of life's biggest blessings. The gift of a child. Sounds good to me. [By Angelica Viloria | Saturday, October 6, 2001] [an error occurred while processing this directive]Copyright © 2001-2012 by Angelica Bautista Viloria.
