Something in the AirAt 1 pm today, students at La Salle Greenhills were sent home. Tomorrow, there will be no classes. There has reportedly been an outbreak of respiratory/viral-type infections, characterized by high fever and nausea. Initial reports zeroed in on schools in the Pasig and Quezon City areas (e.g. Poveda, St. Paul's, Xavier, ICA) although reports this evening seem to say that even students in schools in Makati and Manila have also been affected. [an error occurred while processing this directive]I wonder what's going on. There seems to be something in the air. The proliferation of viruses on the internet now seems to have made its way to real life. It's funny but I was talking to a friend this evening who was worried about Adi so she decided to call me up. I then asked her how things were at her kids' schools. When she asked her daughter about "the virus," her daughter replied: "Ano, computer virus?" Our kids really live in more modern times. Anyway, this too shall pass. Our kids will be well.
