A Decade of BlissIt has been exactly 10 years since my husband and I got together. Well, we've been married for more than 6 and prior to that, we were only a couple. Now, we're a couple about to have two kids. [an error occurred while processing this directive]Time sure flies fast. From carefree days and dates, we are now faced with the more serious concerns that family and children bring. Not to fret though. Even after ten years, it sure doesn't feel that long. I'm even looking forward to ten times ten years more. I remember when we were about to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. We excitedly announced to my aunt, Tita Nena (who has since passed away) that in a few days we would have been married for one year already. She answered by saying: "Walang kuwenta yan." ("That doesn't amount to much."). Undaunted, we inquired further as to why she made that comment. It turns out she thought our life was pretty easy, no major concerns (we had no kids then). We then asked her when she thought our relationship would amount to anything and she said: "Ten years." By then, she said we would have encountered enough difficulties, solved numerous problems, and so we can proudly claim that we have successfully stood by each other. Well, we're still four years off but we're working on it and of course, there's no one else I'd rather be working with on this than my hubby, Manuel. Happy anniversary, dearest!
