A Prayer for Children

My energies are all spent. The weekend was just a whirl. It was one event after another. School. Family. Socials. They were all essential activities and they all had to be done now.

I guess that's how parents go through life. They have to pay real close attention daily and love and play and teach their children now. Now is all we have. Tomorrow, our children will all be grown up and their little hands won't fit into ours so snugly and warmly.

We all want a better world for our children. Even as we work and strive to have the families we've always wanted, it never hurts to pray just a little more. Below, I share a Prayer for Children:

"God, Our Father, We pray that through the intercession of St. Nicholas, You will protect our children. Keep them safe from harm and help them grow and become worthy in Your sight.

Give them strength to keep their Faith in You; and to keep alive their joy in Your creation. Through Jesus Christ Our Lord. Amen."
